24th December... Christmas Eve (day)

The day that all children are good, for fear that Father Christmas wont bring them anything. Photographic evidence of this happening.BELIEVE IT OR NOT...dadadadadada...yes...it's true....

They cleaned all the french doors, without my asking! they then proceeded to vacuum the house and dust...pinch yourself, you are awake...needless to say, it didn't last long!!

no chimney.. so the stockings were hung on the  handles with care, in the hope that St Nicholas soon would be there!!

Christmas Bootie, or some of!! This is the BEST part of Christmas..before it all gets wrecked LOL NOTE: this is NOT all Cam and Aaryn's stuff, it's everyone's...ok..so it does extend behind the tree AND the chairs and spills into the dining room BUT you get the idea..they are spoilt rotten!

27th December

We had Brayden overnight, it was interesting! Next morning he wanted to 'splore' the garden so took Nanna into unventured territory..We've lived here since October and I have never ventured to the end of the backyard! WE found a little footbridge and lots of hidden treasures...

28th December

we decided to take a little trip up the road to Imbil to check out the camping grounds there...

Fishing and scrapping..now that's the way to go!!! LOL..loved it..

perhaps I should have left this behind??? we found this hat at one of the stalls at the little market..Cam insisted on buying it for Dad and wouldn't take it off! he's such a BOGUN!!!

There's a TEENAGER in the house!!

Yes, finally he's had his 13th Birthday, now we can get some sleep LOL

All he wanted was an iPod Touch, no, not the Nano or anything else inferior LOL but the Touch...so, after some penny pinching (and staff discount etc) He got one but half of it is for Christmas. He is well chuffed about that, in fact, you would think it was the only present he had ever received in his life LOL..at least he is happy!

With his birthday stash he toddled of to the shop and bought himself some iTune credit and has commandeered my computer and now lives inside iTune land LOL..

I happened past, just a few minutes ago so I could 'take back' my computer I am given 10 minutes GULP better hurry. As I was waiting, I noticed he was downloading a Brittany Spears song.

Me. I didn't think a boy of your age would want BS on their iPod.

Cam. Brittany Spears is a hell good singer now she has her hair back

Me. Oh Ok..I guess hair makes all the difference

Cam. Yes and she wears knickers now too!!

I decided to make all the kids a clock each..my gosh, what was I thinking..They arrived on Monday so I thought I had better pull my finger out, so tonight, after Cam and I re-organised the spare room so I would be comfortable and after I worked out how the aircon worked (all ready for tomorrow night now Jackie!!) I had a play with my stash.

I haven't done anything except make a few cards in the last few months and I have to say, it did feel good to be creating again..

so here is tonights creation..

Now I just have 2 monsters, one for Cam, one for Bray. One pirate skull for Aaryn, one frog for Keiran and Evan (they share a room and picked the frog themselves) and a penguin that  I absolutely cant remember for whom,  or why I bought it ..perhaps because it was cute???? but it is here LOL

Just the RIGHT news, for a change!

I had a call from the hospital, I had to go there ASAP the Dr needed to see me urgently,

SO for 2 days I stressed..rocked up today waited 2 hours (damn those women who need urgent caesars LOL) finally was called into the office..to be told..

1. There is NO cancer, not one little bit, not even in the big lump, which is now JUST a fibroid, is 6 inches big, BUT just a non-cancerous fibroid
2. I will have to have hysterectomy BUT will NOT be losing my ovaries at all. Thats what i wanted to hear most of all. I am NOT no where near menopause (hooray I'm JUST a bitch LOL) my Hormone levels are still real high, SO why take something that is still working and replace with artificial?? So after lengthy discussion the Dr and myself are happy to leave the little ladies in place!
3. My blood pressure is NOT high, apparently the high blood pressure in hospital is a reaction to the anaesthetic, so they will monitor that differently when I have the next op, so that again..good news.
4. I have gone from category 1, urgent, to category 2 semi-urgent! yay!!
5. I told them I couldn't possibly have the op before Luke's wedding..again, they said..no prob, we'll put you down as being able to have it after the 25th Jan, so you'll prob have it first week in Feb!!!!!!!
6. I have LESS risk of dying on the table because I am NOT a smoker (another reason not to start lol) and because i do not fall into the obese or overweight category!! say what??? I said are you sure, I've been overweight all my life (well married life another I blame you husband moment lol), NOPE she said, your in the correct percentile for your height and age...YIPPEE once again!!

SO tonight I feel absolutely fantastic, for the last 3 months I've had this hovering over my head, and now, it's just all downhill from here..YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!

Love and hugs go to my dearest friend Chrissie, who had her hysterectomy last Wednesday...mwah!!!

She can't let me do anything on my own LOL we are a double act LOL...

I'm Home!

Surgery went well, have to go back in 2 weeks to get dates for the 'big' op which will mean 6 weeks out of action but that's ok, I can handle it. I think LOL He did say that it wasn't pretty in there. (how rude of him) but he will have me all shipshape in no time! (I really don't want to be shaped like a ship but if that what needs to be done lol) at least there is no cancer as far as he could see, however, the very large tumour may have some cells, but that's not to worry about as it's all going anyway! He was able to remove quite a few of the smaller ones though, which I think is ridiculous as he's taking the lot in a few weeks anyway..Double dipping if you ask me LOL

I came home with a list of instructions of what not to do..no housework for a whole day..oh my..I'm bored shitless!

I do have to go see my GP tomorrow, as I've somehow developed very high blood pressure. Apparently, it's even high when I'm unconscious, so high in fact, I set off all the alarms!

While I was waiting to go home, they decided they would do my Ob's once more, I was sitting very calmly and quietly, the alarms went off again and 2 nurses came running over, I just kept reading my magazine. One of them said. MY GOD your bloods so high you should be having a stroke..and I calmly replied..Stroke of what??? He then proceeded to fall about laughing..strange man!

I promised him I would go and get it checked out on Thursday because today I am not allowed to drive a car, make a decision about anything (why? I don't know) sign  legal documents or do housework..I wonder if I am allowed to update my blog? lol

The day has arrived

I go into surgery today at 10.30 so have to be at hospital by 10am! Nothing to eat or drink since midnight, I'm so dying for water and coffee right now..Once I get the boys to school, I think then I shall have time to go into a quiet panic and melt-down. I so don't do surgery well, by the time to leave comes around, I'll be a quivering, near vomiting mess, who will snap at anything that vaguely resembles a husband (or human) and will burst into tears if someone dares to even look at me! How I'm ever going to get into the elevator at the hospital is anyone's guess..Restraints probably!.

Here's hoping the outcome is a good one and that the 'big' surgery will be put off indefinitely (that's just wishful thinking I know lol). Here's hoping they can fix it all with their magic wand without too much fuss and bother (that's wishful thinking too!) and here's hoping they find nothing nasty while they are poking about!!

My heartfelt condolences go out to MISH, who's cousin Leanne lost her battle yesterday with Ovarian Cancer.

Another beautiful lady lost to this dreadful disease. WHEN oh WHEN will they find a cure for it???

So Proud

St John's had their award night last night, it was great.

BOY some of those kids are so talented, 2 girls sang and their voices bought me almost to tears, and then to finish the night, 2 young boys one on trombone and one on guitar, sang and played, I thought, oh god, here we go, but no, it was FANTASTIC. I'm trying to find them on You Tube now, apparently they are quite the 'stars!!".

Cam received an award for Application. Which means, he has applied himself to ALL his subjects this year and was only 2 marks away from getting a Bronze award. I was so very proud as he walked up on stage in front of what must have been a crowd of 1000 or more, the auditorium was filled to capacity. It was a great night even if it did run for over 3 hours and by the end of it, we were tired of clapping. Made it worse that Cam had his award presented first so we had to sit through it all. But that didn't really matter, It was great to hear and see all the kids get their awards and hear what they have achieved.

If we ever had doubts about sending Cam to this school, then last night would have dispelled all of them (we haven't had any doubts though). Watching him interact with his peers was fantastic, he always used to cling to us in a crowded situation and last night, we were still looking for him at 10pm! When they read out his achievements, I nearly burst a blood vessel I was so proud! Naturally, I forgot the camera, but that's ok, Cam has assured me there will be other awards in future years!

Who would have thought, this time last year, that by today, he would be where he is today..

Cam, You've come so far, battled so much and WON, Dad and I are so very proud of you!!

Finally, the internet is back on!!! yeahah~~ it's been a long week without it..apparently it was on yesterday, but someone plugged the cords into the wrong holes in the splitter...ok, ok..so I was in a hurry and didn't have my glasses on..it's all fixed now, no need to go on about it ROFL....

NO Tina is not having twins unfortunately   Hayley has just informed me, well a few hours ago that they too are expecting baby #3..HOW EXCITING and both due within weeks of each other!!! OH MY..it's a case of deja-vu indeed!! This happened when Tina was pregnant with Evan and then Haylz got pregnant with Emily...oh my...now wouldn't it be nice to have 2 pink bundles come out of this...that would make everything nice and even...3 boys, 3 girls...ahh sigh...but I don't really mind what colour they are (meaning pink or blue lol) so long as I can have lots of cuddles and snuggles....

secret # 3

OK I can now let secret #3 out of the bag..the most important and breathtaking most spectacular news of all...

On April 29th (or thereabouts) Grandchild # 5 will be gracing us with her/his (hoping it's a her!) presence. To say I'm gobsmacked, excited, ever so happy about this is an understatement.

All these years of nagging, pleading, begging, blackmailing has finally paid off. For heaven's sake at one stage I thought perhaps I'd have to break in and sabotage the condoms if nothing happened soon!!

Tina and Zeb are expecting baby # 3..

I spoke to Keiran tonight and asked him if they were getting a baby..he said..

yes, when I'm in grade one,we'll have a baby.

I asked if Theresa would be a nice name and he agrees...shame his mother doesn't!

HOW EXCITING...a baby...mmmmmmmm I cant wait......only 6 more months to go..

what a busy year 2009 is going to be....Wedding in January, Birth in April and now Hayley announces, her wedding will be in May...

I think i audibly heard Luke and Hayley breath a huge sigh of relief, when I told them I am so pleased that one of them listens to their mother when I say..go forth and procreate ROFL....they are now off the hook, but only for a short time...Obviously, I can be very persuasive

Life changing chapter 1....

Ok so the 3rd thing happened today, so my brother was right..things do happen in 3's and once again, I can't share but will be given the go ahead soon...I hope because this news I'm gagging at the bit to share..it's my dream and wish come true..(yet again..) ok..my theory is..that Heather has finally hit heaven and that's why things have been happening this week. Call it weird but, before she died, she promised me that if she did die, when she got to heaven I would be the first person to find out...oh yes..sceptic that I am...YET...in one week, 3 things have happened that one could only dream about..yearn about..yet...here, is little old me...receiving, not one, not two but three dreams in less than 4 days...not a sceptic anymore..

SO my dear blog friends...here is, as promised...#1..just to stop you stressing and emailing me for hints LOL...grab a coffee, I don't know how long this is going to end up being LOL or leave now if you don't have time....ok..sitting comfortably, let's begin..

Almost one year ago, we moved into this house, I thought it was perfect BUT it wasn't I have been dreadfully unhappy, the driveway has driven me nuts..(pardon the pun), so much so that today I somehow managed to smash into Gary's boat and pull the bumper bar off my car..totally pull it off, i mean..here I am, stuck and not moving, wondering why..and Aaryn yells out..MUM your bumper is on the driveway..Gary was very rude, he swore at me in front of Megan...and all we could do was laugh...but oops, sorry, i have digressed from the story..now where was I..ah yes..unhappy with living here..There are 2 hospitals directly behind us, 2 funeral directors just before our street, one either side of the road..and a cemetary in front of us as the crow flies , I am surrounded by death..very bad feng shui indeed..anyway, being on a 3 yr plan, I am prepared for whatever is there to be dished out..

For about 5 yrs I've been driving past a house and saying to the boys, one day, that will be ours..just jokingly..until that is last week..NOW bear in mind, I've not been looking for another house, have had no intention of moving from here for 3 years..so why is it that NOW on Wednesday, I pick up the keys for my new home?? We move next Saturday..

To say this home is a dream is an understatement...4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms..large deck outside that leads to a Rotunda that overlooks farmland and bushland, yes it's almost in the country.. ...(why there are black cows down the back!!)..A galley kitchen very much like in UK but much nicer LOL i love the kitchen.....dining room, high ceilings with ornate cornices oh my, i cant wait to photograph them! The house is about 150 yrs old, it has a normal driveway, parking bay at the front..a huge tree at the bottom of the driveway..it's like a picture  postcard..AND..next week..I'll be living there..to say I'm happy and ecstatic is an understatement. dare i say..i shall be having a scraproom LOL yes, claimed that 4th bedroom as my own personal property..with french doors even, that lead out to back verandah!

Quote of the week was from Aaryn, when we took the boys to look at it...OH MY GOODNESS...All my life, I have wanted to live in a house with steps..thank you so much for making my life perfect..(poor boy..all his life..he's 11..such a long time to wait for steps LOL at least now his life is complete..what a lovely mother I am)

After being so unhappy here, what with drunken parties just about every week end that last until 3 am sometimes 5 am..um that would be the bikie neighbours next door not us LOL..council having cleared bushland so it now sounds like the freight trains are running through our lounge every night...do you know the freight trains run through Nambour ever 1.5 hours all night long..you didn't? well they do LOL..helicopters landing on hospital roofs during the night..frightened the beejeebies out of the me the first night I heard it, I thought we were being attacked LOL..so very loud, the walls shake too! Not to mention the deadly driveway, LOL and having been so ill for the last few weeks, i've not even been able to walk down to the mailbox without ventolin when i get to the top!..

In a nutshell, this house, found me, I didn't find it, heck, i wasn't even looking for a house..commitment and all that...SO to say it's a dream come true is an understatement..things like this, don't happen to little old me..it happens to other people..things are starting to happen and I'm enjoying being in the world again...

OH and another thing..Before Heather died, she gave me a lovely Gloxinia plant..which, unfortunately, died, just after she did, i was devastated at the loss, but absolutely refused to throw that pot away..2 weeks ago, I noticed that the pot that sat on my table with nothing but dirt in it, had leaves sprouting..yes indeed, that Gloxinia has sprung back to life...(perhaps the day she arrived in heaven, who knows, certainly another sign!) I am such a believer now..I do believe she is here with me..absolutely without doubt..

AND dream # 2??? all i can say is..I will know more next week for definite then I can share. It is work related and it is scary but exciting LOL

AND dream # 3, well, I'm not sure when I can share that, it's not my decision but...let's just say...AGHHHHHHHH.....so bloody exciting..it's even more exciting that the last 2!!!!!!!!!! Lets just say, that someone has made this little old lady one happy HAPPY person today..

Fish update

I saw Bray yesterday  for the first time in ages (like about 3 weeks). (picked him up from kindy)

Oh well Nanna, I was a baby inside my mum's tummy and well, the doctor had to cut me out and then, when I comed out I was just here at school, doing painting and stuff.

I also want to wish MISH good luck for today, I will be thinking of you all day and sending vibes your way..EVERYTHING will be ok, don't stress until you have to!!!!!

and remember...visualisation really does work....I proved it this week...so far so good..one more hurdle to cross and we'll see how good this visualization really is hey LOL....

Health wise..i'm almost back to normal..well as normal as one can be lol..I'm back at work, very tired, but thats to be expected...but off all meds now so that is a good thing..

My operation has been set back for quite a few months as the doctor needs me to build my lungs back up I cant have anaesthetic while they are like they are..but that's ok, I dont mind waiting....

Ok..off to bed now..absolutely knackered and for some stupid reason I agreed to do 2 days of double shifts.....oh well...someone has to LOL...

A couple of weeks ago, I had a call off Hayley, which I had forgotten about until this morning and just had to get it down before I forgot again...

She had taken master seek and destroy and his long suffering sister, to a friends house, which she doesn't do often LOL..Apparently Seek and Destroy was very well behaved there ...or so she thought LOL..

In the car on the way home..Little miss Blabber mouth says..

Mummy, it wasn't really nice of Brayden what he did to the fish was it...

What did he do?

OH mummy, he was playing with the fish you know...it wasn't very good..

What did he do..I think she was starting to panic now...

WELLLLL, mummy, he bit them in half and put them back in the water don't you know...

oh dear me..it would appear that Mr Seek and Destroy, has a liking for Siamese Fighting Fish. He managed to catch them....bit yes bit them with his teeth...  bit them in half (SHUDDER) and then, put them back in their tanks as if nothing had happened...and the funniest thing  was....The owners of the fish, hadn't even noticed..When Hayley got brave enough to ring them..THEY HADN"T EVEN NOTICED....why wouldn't you notice your fish cut in half??? I wonder if they fed them...hahaha

..now the scary thing is...one half of a fish was  missing...I DO NOT want to think about where this may be...but...I do have my suspicions LOL...fish fingers anyone???
