My Lad??

Aaryn rang our hairdresser the other night, he found her number in my mobile and took it upon himself to ring her! I heard this little conversation....

Hello?? is that Katie?? the hairdresser?

Oh Ok, well this is Aaryn, I'm Theresa's youngest son, you probably remember me.

Yes, the cute one!

WELLLLL, I'm ringing you to see if when you come here tomorrow to cut our hair, if you would mind just like, dying my hair black, then putting like, white stripes through it?

Yeah, yeah, mum said it is ok, She'll be fine with it..and how much will that be do you think?

REALLY?? is that all?? that's very cheap, book me in ok!

UM yes, I'm sure, black , i want black, white stripes made out of that bleach stuff you use..

WELLLLL I don't know if mum is available to speak to you right now..ummm *whispers* oh yeah, she's right here, do you really need to speak to her?? Just a minute..MUM..Katie is on the phone, she needs to speak to you..

ME: Katie is on our phone, I never heard it ring (giggle)

Him: Ihuyadunno (I don't know how to spell this word he uses, he sort of shrugs, I think it's meant to say I DUNNO, but sort of comes out distorted and sounds like ihuyadunno, which translated means OH POOP, i've been caught out and if i do something cute or just stupid she'll forget)

I got on the phone, trying so hard not to LOL too loudly, all I could hear was Katie laughing her head off on the other end. We both decided he would look like a Zebra if we let him have his hair black, so between the 2 of us, we persuaded him to just have his blonde fringe cut off (that was the last hair do!) and to just have blonde tips put through his hair FOR GOODNESS SAKE THIS LAD IS ONLY 10!!!!

so here is the result......

You cant see the blonde very well, I shall have to take some outside pics. After having his hair done, he said...

You wont be able to stop staring at me know will you? I shall dazzle you with my good looks and sex appeal..

FOR GOODNESS SAKE..he sounds just like his older brother LUKE!!! (and scarily looks just like him too)...

TODAY he had his 3rd soccer match...I had to miss it AGAIN! work this time, not shopping lol. He assured me they had a great match today, it was nil all at half time, then his team scored a goal (their first!!) and were winning until the other team scored 4 LOL.. oh well..

And with much excitement he then told me "

And the best thing was mum we all got an icy pole off the coach, OH  and I got man of the match."

MAN OF THE MATCH!! so proud LOL must be the David Beckham hair do hey LOL

it took...

less than 5 minutes for him to notice!! a record..what did he say??

Have you been bloody spending again woman??? ROFL..was very impressed when I told him I did it myself to which he replied, then you had better get started on the other one it looks horrid now! (and it didn't before?? LOL)

Busy Creating......

THIS......

DSCF0756 (Medium)

I started with 1 very dull, boring metal light shade (absolutely hated it) There is another exactly the same in the kitchen, so that is going to get the same treatment later today!!!!

with a bit of help from some  MM black paint and Heidi Swapp transparent flourish stickers (rub-on's wouldn't rub off ARGHH).

I Ended up with this....

DSCF0761 (Medium)

All I have to do now is......wait for the varnish to dry so I can hang it up..I wonder if Gary will notice..or should I say...I wonder how long it will take before he notices LOL

Where I bought my goodies

(for Julie) I bought the plant and all the other stuff from Target of course LOL, they are having a huge homemaker sale it finishes next Wednesday. The palm was half price $40 and there are smaller ones but not palms (I think they are dracaena?) for $30 which I'm thinking about going to buy tonight. I have to lay-by another lamp for Luke who has decided that is what he will have for his birthday. Thank God for staff discount LOL is all I can say!!

Shopping Trip = total chaos

I went shopping on Saturday morning, OK I lie, I went to Soccer on Saturday morning and somehow ended up at the shops..OK, I knew I had to go near the plaza as I had to get to the bank before closing BUT that didn't mean I had to pop into work and spend $$ did it LOL but, me being easily sidetracked, did just that. I came home with

THIS lovely black lamp that I didn't really need...DSCF0743 (Medium)

and THIS lovely artificial palm that I certainly didn't need

DSCF0745 (Medium)

And also this beautiful long vase, that once again, I didn't need

DSCF0746 (Medium)

Nothing wrong at all with all of that I guess BUT when I got home, total chaos as there was absolutely no-where to put these fine purchases. THANK GOD, Megan (Luke's girlfriend) was here, she is an interior decorator wannabe so we both got busy re-arranging furniture AND the result was Fabulous. I always thought our lounge and dining room far to small for all our furniture, but with a bit of thoughtful planning it not only fitted beautifully, BUT we somehow came out with a lot more room! I'm so happy with the placement, I just want to sit and stare! I love where the computer is now, I have a nice outlook, the dogs stare at me, I stare at them, I have seen 1 snake wriggle along the retainer wall, so now I know what they bark at!

I just realized that i've never posted pics of the new house so here goes!!

DSCF0754 (Medium) Dining room Computer near sliding door! NOTE: I have a pink ott-lite LOL i love it!!!

DSCF0747 (Medium) Lounge from the front door looking in! (the boys bedrooms and bathroom/toilet are to the left of lounge around the back of that little wall. our bedroom is on the right it comes off the lounge near the welsh dresser)

DSCF0753 (Medium) Lounge from the other end looking towards front door (the 2 wooden strips on the wall near TV will be coming down when I buy the paint! we will paint the wall behind the TV chocolate, the other wall coffee and the rest of the room 2 shades lighter than coffee, resulting in me always being hungry I'm sure)

DSCF0755 (Medium) dining looking into kitchen.

I'm painting the revolting light shades black with white rub-on's, i've nearly finished, will put the pic in when it's done!

and this is my most favourite piece of furniture, my little wooden table that I have  pics of my dad on (near the front door) I just love the carving on it!

This was really really hard so I got the boys to help me, we put everyone's name in a bowl and Aaryn drew one out, They absolutely refused to have their photo taken whilst doing it, in fact Cam chucked a mental and left the room when I dared to say I would like to take a photo for my blog!

SO without further ado..Drumroll please....

wrong words???

I've had a song stuck in my head all day...ok i cant remember who sings it, I think it may be the Eurythmics (Annie Lennox) but for the life of me I cant remember..but I know for sure the words are WRONG WRONG WRONG...

And I want to, and I want to, and I want to stop this Circumcision!!

i think it should be indecision, but I think circumcision sounds much better! But ever so embarrassing when you sing it outloud in the tea-room!

WARNING...may make you giggle (it made me!)

Today a lovely little old lady comes to me (I bet she's wishing she hadn't ROFL)

Me...."Is this all for you today?"

Her...."WHAT? Am I having a Ball today?"

Me...Smile, don't worry, Do you have Fly buys?

Her....WHAT? I certainly don't think that is any of your business

Me..(a little confused) Sorry, I only asked if you had Fly buys. I assume you don't?

Her...Your very insulting, I certainly don't think you should be asking me that at all. (she's getting a bit agitated and asks to speak to my supervisor?

Me..A little bewildered at what her problem is..Calls supervisor over.

Explains I only asked if she had fly buys to which the old woman says. SHE KEEPS ASKING ME THAT, I told her it's none of her business.

The lady in line waiting is as bewildered as me. My supervisor is just staring and looking as confused as the rest of us. So I ask the woman, Excuse me, what am I saying to you.

She looks around and leans over and whispers to my supervisor..

She keeps asking me if I have FIBROIDS...

well, I'm still peeing myself laughing and haven't been able to ask anyone for their fly buys since then!!!!!!!!

Finally!!

After 10 years of going to the Paediatrician, every 3 months, Cameron has finally been given the ALL CLEAR and he no longer has to go see him.

YES he will always have Asperger's Syndrome, BUT, in the last 12 months he has learnt how to live with it and try to control his Aspy bursts (arm flapping, tics etc). Arm and hand flapping has ceased totally, the anxiety isn't so bad at all anymore (he coped very well with the house move and progress into high school). Yes he still nail bites, but then, so do I, so the doctor thinks this may be an inherited trait as most of my family bite their nails (my father was dreadful for it and so was my sister). Some of his traits, we have come to the conclusion, are just the onset of Puberty (which Cam just preened about LOL). SO with persistence and patience, we have finally jumped the biggest hurdle and onto the next!

If it becomes too much, or I feel that other aspects of the syndrome are starting to filter through, I can at anytime go see his doctor, which is reassuring to know. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when the doctor said "Well, I think we needn't see you anymore Cameron young Chap. Your not cured, but your coping marvelously!" My biggest regret now, is not taking my camera into the doctors with me to get a photo of that huge smile when the doctor said it (and a photo of him with his doctor) oh well, we are literally over the back fence from the hospital where the paediatrics are, so we can always go visit him to get one LOL.

So it's onwards and upwards from here on in, learning to live without the medication and doctors that have been a HUGE part of our lives over a whole decade (it's exactly 10 years since Cam was diagnosed with Epilepsy and exactly 5 years since he was diagnosed with Asperger's). The doctor said he would overcome it, because he had the willpower to meet it head on AND he has! The doc also said, he would outgrow his epilepsy AND he has!

SO proud of my little man for overcoming all these obstacles in his short little life. I'm not saying it's going to be easy from now on in, LOL PUBERTY for goodness sake, Like, I've been there 3 times before with his sisters and brother LOL..but, it's a start!!!

Anything is possible if you persevere long and hard. It's hard work, but the end results are worth it. (Hmmm I'll come back to this post in 2 years LOL let you know how it works out LOL)

...........................................................................................................

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I also want to wish my adopted mum, Heather, good luck for her 2 week stay in hospital!! She's in Brisbane having pain management. To say I'm worried sick, is an understatement, but I'm sure, with her determination, she'll be home soon, fighting fit and outlasting us all at our scrapbooking nights!

I swear that woman has the stamina of a 20yr old LOL, she is always the last one to pack up, never yawns and powers along, not like the rest of us!! LOL.

I loves you mother!!!! I'm so glad we found each other to adopt!!

GET WELL SOON OK!!

Paint me green and call me GUMBY

Will I ever learn to just smile and nod? NOPE! Tonight at work, a rather nice looking man, with blonde curly hair A customer ,came up to my register, smiled at me and said a very big WHY HELLO, HOW ARE YOU?? I smiled back and said, Very well thank you, how are you? He looks at me and says..You don't remember me do you? I stared at him for what seemed like an eternity, when it hit me, Yes I did remember him!

AHH YES, I replied confidently, You are the  Man who ordered all the Orgasmic Tshirts aren't you!! .....

OMG just paint me green and call me GUMBY

WHY OH WHY do I always get ORGANIC and ORGASMIC mixed up when behind a counter???

[The last time that happened to me, I was working in a Health food shop and a man asked if we sold Sultana's and I told him we only sold ORGASMIC ones...he said he'd take the lot!! LOL..]

SO if your after a good time...get yourself to Target and buy some organic Orgasmic Tshirts, before they all sell out LOL

THEN as if that wasn't bad enough, I nearly choked myself to death. Tonight  I thought I would wear my pen on my lanyard, because I'm sick to death of customers stealing my bloody pens always misplacing my pens, I closed the register drawer, went to turn around and nearly knocked myself out as my head spun around and down towards the counter. I had only shut the draw with the lanyard INSIDE the wretched thing. My supervisor, who witnessed the lot, nearly wet herself laughing, the customer, couldn't stand up, she was laughing too much, I just once again, died a slow undignified death, THEN, yes there is more I opened my drawer to remove the deathtrap Lanyard, and only got my shirt caught in the wretched door, sending the supervisor into uncontrolled choking! Now all this would be ok, only every time you open your register drawer for things other than transactions, a little bit of paper comes out of the docket printer with time and your employer number, so you have to write on that the reason you have opened drawer, eg, to put change in etc  The pay office staff are going to be in fits tomorrow when they read the 2 notes left behind.. 1st..Caught lanyard in drawer, had to open drawer to stop being choked!!!! (smiley face) 2nd...caught shirt in drawer, whilst removing lanyard (double smiley face)..

Ah yes, never a dull moment is there

the rest of our photo shoot!

shoot 10002 (Small) shoot 1 (Small) shoot 10001 (Small)                                                                                   I had to take photos of our photos! they were far to big to scan I did try! The one of us all measures in at 20 x 30 and the one of the boys is 10 x 20 the others are 8 x 10 so easy to scan! I have to work out how to take a better pic of them so I can have them reprinted to scrap! I will work it out, I've just got to find the time. But this will do for now, just so you can see them.

The scanned pics scanned up not true to colour either, I have to fix those!

We are Home! (long post be warned photos too!!)

we have arrived home safe and somewhat tired from our little getaway. The boys were so well behaved and enjoyed themselves immensely!!

The room was good, the resort fantastic, the water park at the resort SUPER Fantastic (so the boys said!) and Seaworld was as it always is, wonderful!! Highlight of the resort for the boys...the water parkDSCF0559 (Small) DSCF0562 (Small)

...Highlight for me THE COCKTAILS!! yummmoooooo, i even persuaded Gary to have one, he chose a Maiti (I wont share his bare chested photo here, you will all be traumatized!) I had a Coconut Rough, which is Malibu, Creme de cocao, strawberry liquor, cream and chocolate..(bet you wish you had one hey LOL) it was DELISH and very more-ish! DSCF0568 (Small)

I took well over 100 photo's so wont share them all here, but have picked a few of my favourites. I was getting rather cranky at the dolphins as every time I clicked they disappeared into the water, but when I got home and put the pics on the computer, lo and behold I had captured the lot! and I got some very good shots too! I'm still learning how to use this camera, mind you, I've only had it for 2 years!

Now for the pictures 1..Pig the Dugong  2..a very cute polar bear  3...a fairy penguin   4...a dolphin    5 the same dolphin   6 a horrible shark (I am a wee bit scared of sharks!)

Aaryn is a lover of all animals (so he kept informing me) so had to have a baby seal to add to his ever growing animal collection, so meet Rex the baby fur seal. Rex was bought the moment we entered sea world as it was on sale and Aaryn was worried they'd all be sold out if we waited. SO, Rex was removed from plastic bag (incase he suffocated of course) and was left with the pack horse (that would be ME) all day! DSCF0598 (Small) DSCF0601 (Small)

Cameron went on every single ride, not once but 3 times! that would be 3 times on the corkscrew!(eww!!) (you can see him on first picture, behind the japanese girls on 2nd carriage) DSCF0593 (Small) DSCF0590 (Small)DSCF0592 (Small)

3 times on the pirate ship! (double eww!)(arrow pointing to him)he did the corkscrew and pirate ship on his own! very brave!!!

DSCF0622 ycopy (Small) DSCF0620 (Small)

He also went on the Bermuda Triangle 3 times. Aaryn got brave and went on the 2nd time with him and gary THEN do not faint...I got brave and went on it too!! (near died of terror I might add) luckily because this was the only ride we all went on, we bought the photo that was taken (it shows my terror!!) but I haven't scanned it yet!

He also went on the flume ride twice then, guilted me into going on that with him, I was ok, until the end when we plummeted to an almost near death I'm sure! I was terrified of losing my teeth ROFL..thank goodness for hold-tite! (i shall be writing to that company and telling them what a wonderful product they sell!! LOL)

He even humored Aaryn and went on the Sesame Street rides, and 'braved' the kiddy Tower of Terror!! (aka Big Bird Bounce )DSCF0624 (Small)

So, all in all, it was a fantastic weekend, the weather was Superb!! only rained at night!! and now Gary is planning a trip to Sydney...but first I need to get over this weekend LOL...

surprise for Mum!

After a long tiring day at work today, I told the boys i was going to have a nice soak in the bath and then tackle the evening chores, you know the ones..dishes etc, then pack our gear ready for our weekend getaway! Aaryn had been told over and over to just get some shorts, tshirts etc ready but he kept getting sidetracked with the dilemma of which bed toy to take, his welsh dragon? his crocodile? his Teddy? the choice is endless, (he has decided upon his steve irwin crocodile! appropriate for Seaworld LOL). I told them both to have their gear ready for me to pack away after my soak and off I went, oblivious (well sort of oblivious) to the giggling etc i could hear coming from the other side of the door. I was told to stay there while they finished getting their 'stuff' ready and get out when told So when told i got out to find...
They had all their gear ready, had tidied their bedrooms spotlessly (well as spotless as a boy can!) AND had washed all the dishes, dried them, put them away and wiped down the kitchen!! AND the piece de resistance....a glass of wine poured for Moi!! I am still in shock!!! Sometimes these ever so naughty boys can be so good, it makes me almost cry!!!
so they were rewarded with an early easter present..(because i was gagging to give it to them LOL) DALEK easter eggs!! I love the Daleks and couldn't wait to buy these little cuties..Press the button and they say..EXTERMINATE..love it!!
We had an easter egg hunt with the grandies yesterday, because we wont see them tomorrow, Emily was beside herself with excitement, the boys were too, but not as much as her! She was so overcome she threw up all over her mother's lounge room when they got home..BOY i love being a grandmother ROFLMAO!!!!

we scrub up ok!!

Finally Portrait Place have emailed me our free photo (mind you, we spent a small fortune on enlargements!!!) so here we are!! You have no idea how hard it was, to get everyone to smile at the same time, to stop Gary looking gormless, to have me happy with the prints!! I'm so glad they've gone digital, you can see the pics immediately and have any horrid ones instantly deleted!! This one, was amazingly the first photo she took! we were so relaxed with the photographer, we threw off our shoes, laughed and joked about, she took pics for about 45 minutes and only about 5 were no good! The hardest part was choosing the ones we liked, so they did them up into various frames which looked fantastic so we bought a heap, I love the ones of the boys on their own, so we have 3 of those in the one frame I cant wait to get them, should be this week!!!

Happy St Paddy's day!!

HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!! tis a great day for the Irish, to be sure to be sure!!! I do believe that Donald and his daughter Roisin will be having a glass or 3 of the lethal Irish guiness later today when they wake up! (they are my father's cousins in Belfast!) I had an email from Roisin, saying that she intends to have one or 2 LOL i do wish i liked guiness, it always looks so nice, with the froth on the top, but the taste leaves much to be desired..AND YES, i do make myself drink a glass at least twice a year!!!To be sure, to be sure, one wouldn't be Irish if you couldn't keep a Guiness down!!!! My Dad loved st Pats day..he would sing Irish songs all day!

  • If you're Irish come into the parlour
  • With a shillelagh in my hand (pronounced shilaylee) this one was one of my favorites!
  • When Irish Eyes are Smiling (we played this at his funeral!)
  • My darling Maggie May (loved this too!!)
  • I'll take you home again Kathleen (I remember my Grampy singing this to my Nanna every time he got he drunk, which was a LOT LOL)

It's the first St Paddy's day without my dad, so I'm feeling a little sad and nostalgic, he really enjoyed 'today'. He was very proud of our coat of arms!!!

I leave you with this Irish Blessing

May the road rise up to meet you.May the wind be always at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face;the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

A word of warning today ladies, if your Irish and Catholic, keep your legs well and truly crossed! Tis a well known fact that a Saint Patrick's day fling, brings a Christmas day Baby!!! and yes, i have proof, I have 3 of them ROFL..

a surprise!!

The other day, Gary asked me if i was working on Easter Monday, naturally I checked my roster to find out that yes indeed i was and also on Easter Saturday (hmm, i'm only supposed to work one public holiday!!) so he then said, Just ring work and tell them you cant work that Monday because, I'm not working on Sunday night so I have a surprise planned for you...OH DAMN!! I know his surprises. He wouldn't tell me what it was, I just knew it was camping, i stewed all night, hardly slept a wink for thinking up plans of how i could stay home and he could take the boys, but i couldn't think of one really good excuse. I hate camping with a passion, I would rather stick needles in my eyes, whilst watching mice do the tango! indeed I would. He asked me had I rang work, with that work rang me, I couldn't get out of it, i told them i couldn't work, No problem whatsoever DOUBLE DAMN, they could at least have said, OH NO, the shop will fall down without you here, but no, it was fine, My last card, gone, dammit! There he was, sitting with a smug look on his face, OH yes, you can smirk I thought, trying to smile and think it'll be ok, but it wont,...I JUST HATE CAMPING...He went off to work, and wouldn't tell me anymore. SO i grilled Tina! Has your father arranged to borrow your tent?? NO! has he mentioned anything to you?? NOPE..dammit, that man is aggravating..Last night during dinner, that smug smirk was back, i wanted to take that burger and smash it into his face, but i resisted temptation. He looked at the boys and said, I have a little surprise for you all...Here goes..I think, smile, smile smile, pretend to be happy, you like camping, you like camping...it's not working lol..he then says...we'll leave here at lunchtime on Sunday, and probably leave our destination about 6pm on Monday...the boys are jumping around, HOLIDAY HOLIDAY..i'm sitting, sinking lower into my chair, waiting for the words...when he then says...I have booked a night at.....yeah, here it comes..boreen point, in a tent, no toilet, no shower, no electricity, no stove blah blah...then......NARA RESORT!!! I smiled, then the penny dropped, i looked at him and said WHAT?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? YOUR KIDDING AREN"T YOU?? WE ARE GOING CAMPING AREN"T WE?? YOUR WINDING ME UP?? then he just sat there with that smug look...NOPE!!! so, next Sunday, we head to the Gold Coast, NARA RESORT arrghhhh, so excited, i've always wanted to stay there!! It's only one night but heck, it's time out! We get to go to Seaword I LOVE SEAWORLD its my favorite place...ARGHHHGHH, dolphins, polar bears, penguins (NO SKUNKS!!!)...I'm a little excited, can you tell LOL..the boys are beside themselves..Aaryn wants a penguin, he's working out how to get one into his backpack..I DONT THINK SO!!! I'm so glad i have a great camera, i'm going to get some good close up dolphin shots! polar bear shots...bit sad there's no skunks LOL, i guess i wont need to pack tomatoes!!!

Skunks!

Interesting conversation on the way to school today.
  • A....Mum, skunks spray
  • M...I've heard that
  • A....have you been sprayed by a skunk?
  • M...Not lately
  • A....Have you ever seen a skunk?
  • M...No
  • A....Well, when we go to canada
  • M... We are going to canada??
  • A.... Yes, i heard you say to dad, that one day we will go to Canada
  • M....Oh yes, ok, you got me there
  • A....Well, when we go to Canada, you will have to be careful, because a skunk may spray on you and then you will stink to high heavens
  • M...I shall remember that
  • A....Dont think they are cute, mum, cos they aren't, they look cute, but boy do they stink
  • M...Have you seen a skunk?
  • A....NO, but i am a skunk expert
  • M...we dont have skunks in Australia
  • A....I know, but they have them in Canada
  • M....hmmmm
  • A....MUM, when you get sprayed on
  • M...hmmmm
  • A....wash yourself down with tomatoes, that will get rid of the smell! you have to rub yourself all over with tomatoes, i dont think tomato soup will work but you could give it a try
  • M..I shall remember that!
  • A...I cant wait to go to Canada, i've waited my whole life to go to Canada to see a skunk.

thank god we pulled up at school! I'm so pleased that I live with a skunk expert, i shall have to remember the tomato juice and always carry some with me just incase a rogue skunk escapes from a zoo!

I wonder what the conversation on the way home will be, usually it's about Katie. Yesterday's went..

  • A....Do you know what?
  • M...What?
  • A.....Robert stepped on Katie today, for no reason, she was just there, and he stepped on her and nearly killed her
  • M...That's dreadful, what did your teacher say

Home made candles

I'm loving making these candles. Kimberley taught us girls at a workshop a little while ago and i've been dying to make them ever since! It's a bit dangerous if you are heat gun challenged like i am, but after setting fire to the wax paper only once, burning my fingers twice, nearly burning the table top (thank god gary wasn't home to witness that!) and melting wax onto my hand I managed to make 9 tonight!! (one i made at the workshop!) Last time i used a heat gun, i managed to not only set on fire all the paper i was trying to emboss onto BUT also i set fire to the kitchen curtains Thank GOD the window was right behind the kitchen sink so i managed to put that out immediately (and that is precisely why i was using the gun at the kitchen sink LOL). Needless to say, tonight i was very nervous and have to admit to trying to use the hair dryer first so i wouldn't have to use the deadly gun!! I feel like an indian giver now though as I gave the gun to Jackie, then asked if I could 'borrow' it back tonight LOL She will probably have to beg me for it back (unless i get bored with making candles LOL). I have to make a heap (like 20 or 30) for Cam's school and also a heap for Aaryn's school fete. The biggest problem I have now is, which one to give to Gary's sister Dyan, for her birthday tomorrow! decisions, decisions..i might let him choose!!

Stay away from PINK LIGHTS!!!

  • Aaryn..Are you scrapbooking dad?
  • Gary....Dont be stupid boy, i'm fixing my business cards
  • Aaryn..Why are you using all mum's stuff? we aren't allowed to touch her stuff
  • Gary....She said I could use her cutter
  • Aaryn..MUM..Dad's using ALL your scrapping stuff (he is using the cutter and window punch!)
  • Gary...This cutter cuts really good doesn't it, i'm impressed
  • Aaryn...Dad...do not walk towards the PINK light!!!!!

that was the little conversation i overheard today. To explain..Gary was covering the old phone number on his business cards by cutting down some labels to fit (let it be known, I had suggested white-out before he started!). After an hour or more of him punching them out and then trying to remove backing from label, he gave up the punch and moved onto the Kaiser cutter. same deal really, he still couldn't get the backing off, SO then resorted to my cutterbee scissors, how remarkable, same deal, still couldn't get the backing off!! SO he then had a brain wave..if he used white-out, it would be quicker and i could get on with the job of writing the new freecall number on them (why he just cant get new business cards is beyond me!). Aaryn, likes to watch Ghost Whisperer, when people die, then walk towards the bright light!! so, obviously, when one becomes a scrapbooker, you walk towards the PINK LIGHTm therefore he felt it necessary to warn his father of the perils that await him!
