A couple of phone calls!!

Phone call # 1

Yesterday morning I got a phone call off Luke, who is on holiday in Tasmania with his girlfriend Megan.

Luke...Hey Mum, ring me back, we've got no credit on my phone.

Me...ok...RINGS BACK....

Me...what's wrong??

Luke...oh, not much, Me and Meg are at cradle mountain. It's snowing!

Me..that's nice, what's wrong??

Luke...Megan just fell down a cliff.

ME....SCREAM....WHAT???

Luke...Just joking, we are having a picnic beside Lake Dove..have you ever been here?

Me..yes, it's lovely there isn't it.

Luke...yes it's gorgeous and i just asked Megan to marry me..

Me...Yes, it sure is..YOU DID WHAT??? hardy ha, good joke, cant get me twice.

Luke...No I'm deadly serious, i bought the ring a few months ago and have had it planned for ages...

Me..SCREAMS, Bursts into tears...

Luke...It's ok Mum..SHE SAID YES...

Me...oh, oh, oh, still sobbing,

Luke...are you ok...God, Meg, mum is crying....I then hear Meg scream, I HAVE A RING TESS, A RING...A REAL RING....

All i can do is cry LOL such a sook I am. He then informs me it will be a February wedding (OMG THAT IS LIKE 9 months from now!) he then says he better hang up because they have to tell her parents BUT they wanted me to be the first to know..HOW SWEET IS THAT!!!

To say I'm over the moon is an understatement. I've loved Megan since the moment I met her and know she'll fit in with our mad family!

She's the only girl in a family of 6 kids! Her dad is Welsh too!!! all the kids have Welsh names AND they've promised me a Welsh name for the first grand-daughter which also happens to be her dad's favourite girls name too (he wanted to call her it, I wanted to call Tina and Hayley it!!) Anchorette pronounced Ancarid. She will also keep Luke in check as she's black belt Rhee Tai Kwondo and her father and brothers are all instructors!! (her father owns and operates Rhee Tai Kwondo here on the sunshine coast!!)

I call it FATE lol...

Phone call #2

Hayley and I went to a workmates 50th Birthday party last night, on our way home I get a phone call.

Ben..is Hayley there?

Me..yes..hands phone over.

Hayley..You better tell me NOW..

Hayley....I mean it, she better be in bed when I get home

Hayley...I MEAN IT..if I get hold of her I'm going to KILL her...

Hayley...I DONT CARE IF SHE SAID SORRY...TELL HER TO GET HER ARSE INTO BED NOW...

me...what is going on??? what ever could my darling grand-daughter have done that is so bad??

Hayley hangs up mobile and throws it at me...

Little Miss Emily, was watching tv, so Daddy decided to play on the computer, Seizing the moment the darling child got daddy's very permanent marking pen and scribbled on the tv, not content with that, she drew all over the coffee table and remote control, then started on the almost new leather lounge suite..what's that she spied?? her sleeping 3yr old brother, who now is sporting a lovely BLACK FACE, no, I tell a lie, not a whole black face, he was sleeping on his side, so only one side of his face is black, including his eyelid, ear and neck...Ben found her just as she was starting on her arms!!!

All I could do was laugh so hard I nearly peed myself (I swear it was because i'd had a glass of rum and a beer, that I laughed, not because I found it totally hilarious).

This morning Hayley rang me to ask HOW to get it all off, to which I replied NOTHING lol and burst out laughing.. I'm hoping she does as i asked and took some pics for me to share LOL I'm dying to see him..

I eventually rang back and told her what to try to get it off the furniture and she's coming over later to get eye makeup remover to see if that will tone down his face a bit...

I know kids do this all the time, and every time i hear about it, i still laugh, it's even funnier knowing it's your grandkids..

Oh, for the record...I always wanted a black grandchild ROFLMAO now i guess i have one!!!
