I did a photo shoot the other week for my friend Karly who was expecting baby #1..who incidentally was born on Sunday..a girl..Paige weighing a hefty 8lbs! not bad for a 1st baby!

I haven't had time to do any editing, so this morning, in between coughing fits, I've had a little play...

Kennedy's Button!

I've had quite a few emails asking where Kennedy's button has gone! Well, remember awhile ago I had an idiot commenter? Well, in a nutshell, the comments it made, were very derogatory towards people with Down Syndrome, in fact, I really wish now that I had 'outed' this person and copied the comments to the blog so that my subscribers could see what a hideous stalker I have. I was so worried that this hideous revolting person (yes you know you are still here and yes, look, I'm talking about you) would go over to Renee's blog and start her crap there (I say her, because to be honest, I don't believe a man would be that bitchy and horrible, nor would a man bother with stalking my blog anyway!) so I reluctantly removed Ken's button. (sorry Renee!). I was going to just have the button with no link but couldn't work out how to take the link off, SO Renee, if you can help with that!!!!! lol

I've also decided to take comment moderation off, if the stalker wants to comment, let her, it's her time and effort, and honestly, if that's what gives her kicks, who am I to spoil her fun really. Perhaps she could put her own writing to her own blog and let us stalk her??? THAT would be too easy hey!

What does make me laugh in the blog stalking stakes is that how someone will come in, read your blog, take it all in, talk about it, YET totally ignore you, when they see you in real life, like you don't exist.

That cracks me and Jackie up all the time.

getting better!

I woke up this morning feeling almost human. After the first good nights sleep in nearly a week! Gary said I hardly coughed at all, so the steroids have definitely kicked in and today the pressure in my chest is totally gone! Yesterday the doctor said the pneumonia was beginning to break up and in a matter of days I should be getting on top of it, looks like he was right! He did give me a whole week off work, so that I will be totally rested by the time I go back, which has turned out really well as the kids being on holidays, didn't need a sitter, they just sit me hahaha!

I go back to doc tomorrow to have another check on steroids and hoping to come off those little pills then! Gosh they make you bounce off the walls, this morning, i got up and took them earlier than usual so they would be out of my system by the time I go to bed, I like to sleep LOL.

Thank you to everyone for all your emails, comments and phone calls, sorry I haven't gotten around to answering them all, I'm spending short bursts at computer and taking docs advise and resting..how unlike me LOL..

How Can??

something as simple as Asthma suddenly become pneumonia?

I have had asthma for the last 6 weeks, finally gave into it on Thurs and got Hayley to run me up to the emergency dept, my bum never even hit the seat..Amazing what power not breathing brings in places like that! (considering we sat for over 4 hours on Tues night with Bray, obviously  NOT as important as his Nanna, but that is another story, and he is ok!)

I was hooked up to a nebulizer, stabbed 4 times in both hands because the nurse couldn't find a vein and when she did find one I had no blood..I tell you..she looked at me accusingly and said..YOU HAVE NO BLOOD! I have to get a doctor..ok, i was past caring anyway..The doctor came in and said, take it out and put it in the other hand, she chucked a bit of a tanty (not unlike All Saints lol) so the doctor decided it would be better for him to do it himself. After getting the canula into a vein via my whole hand he managed to get a few drops of blood. then decided that perhaps i was super dehydrated so ordered fluids. That worked..They did cultures, chest X-rays, everything apparently everything was clear. Gave me some phenergan for my swollen eye (allergy to pain killers) and after 6 hours of poking and prodding thought perhaps I would be better off at home as now I was breathing a lot better and would I please go to my GP for a follow up visit. I felt great so thought yup, this was easy, I'm all better..

WRONG! by 3am this morning, I felt like the truck that had run over me the day before had now reversed over me, luckily I had an 8 am appointment with my GP so i just sat and concentrated on breathing etc until I had to go see him. He took one look at me, threw a nebulizer on me, double dose! examined me and was horrified that the hospital sent me home, rang the hospital, got someone to look at my X-rays while he was on the phone, told them what to look for..oh yes...lookie here, the lady has PNEUMONIA! how ever did we miss that? Would I like to go back to the hospital..NO WAY...so I'm home, on steroids (i shall look like a weightlifter when I'm done lol) and antibiotics, go back to doc on Monday and if no better, then hospital it shall be!

on the bright side

Aaryn has been looking after me beautifully, water, cordial and ginger beer every half hour (so I don't deflate! I think be meant dehydrate lol) and panadol every 4 hours on the dot!  Salada crackers with a little butter, if I need to eat..He would cook a roast, but isn't allowed to use the oven and also he would make me coffee or tea but his dad said, he's not allowed to use the kettle yet, he's too short LOL @ that one!

He put socks on me so my feet wouldn't get cold and insisted I have 4 blankets on me and just incase i did get cold, he then opened my bedroom blinds so the sun would shine straight on me and warm me up.

Why I just sweated that damn pneumonia right out of me i think LOL. He has picked every flower/weed in sight and surrounded me with them, which has done wonders for the hayfever,

He then reminded me that if and when I die not to forget the TV is his!

i should have known there were ulterior motives. I'm also expecting a bill at the end of it all LOL

Cameron offers an..."are you ok" from his computer every now and again..Gary pops his head around the door, ready to run, as he asks, can I get you anything and looks relieved when I say No thank you Aaryn has got it covered.

At least out of 5 children, I have one who cares *sigh* *woe is me*..

OK I'm off back to my couch, my loving son has asked if he may have the computer and don't I think it's time I had a sleep and lookie here, another glass of ginger beer!!

who would have thought that was good for dehydration LOL shame I can't have any Frangelico in it, that would make me sleep!

IDIOTIC COMMENTORS!

I am having problems with a particular Anonymous IDIOT who likes to leave stupid and rude comments, this idiot is obviously a subscriber to my blog as IT gets in as soon as it hit bloglines and leaves ridiculous comments that are just RIDICULOUS i guess lol.

SO, rather than have the IDIOT comment further on the 3 posts that i have had to delete, I just found it easier to delete the whole post rather than IDIOTS comment IYKWIM...

Is there a way of making blogs private so that even though you are subscribed you have to log in to see them? I think there is, I just have to work it out! Any ideas? email me! ta muchly.

You will be able to read the deleted posts if your subscribed through bloglines but if not..well, you've missed out! unfortunately, you wont be able to comment on them..

 

although, must say, if you are a subscriber, mr/mrs idiot, i would like you to unsub now as I don't like the idea of someone like YOU reading this blog..you have had your 5 minutes of fame, now piddle off and go somewhere else..perhaps...the arctic??

Boy where has the time gone? Spring has sprung and with it, renewed energy and a clean house! It's not quite 10.30am and already the house is sparkling clean, cleansed from top to bottom it helps having a tiny house sometime lol so I have no excuse for not catching up with blog news. It's going to be long, so grab a coffee and get comfy or just press the x if you cant be bothered to stay. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED lol

MY NEW DSLR

Yes I know, this should have been first LOL but sometimes you just have to put others before yourself LOL.

She's finally here, my new DSLR the Canon 1000D, looking very beautiful in her camera bag, that the gorgeous young man at Camera House gave me for being nice LOL he gave me heaps of free stuff, such lovely boys they are in there, and cute too!!!

We trotted off to Yaroomba beach yesterday to have a play with the new baby, oh yeah, got the kids some exercise too i guess, we didn't stay too long as miss Emily decided she wasn't well and had a  bit of a temperature, we got back to Hayley's and madam was asleep in less than 3 minutes of hitting the front door.

Here are some pics taken with the new camera, bearing in mind that it was the first time i had actually used the camera and i can only get better! I'm so in love with this camera!

lookie here I am again!

all I can say is  MAMMA MIA IS FANTASTIC..I have just watched it and I think I shall watch it again after I've made a cuppa! There is something about ABBA that just has me twitching my toes wanting to dance even though I cant dance a step LOL..AND what about Pierce Brosnan mmmmm that man is gorgeous with a capital G but my goodness, he can't sing to save himself. Meryl Streep is just divine, I think she's ab fab! and boy she can hold a tune indeedy! Just a superb movie for sure!

OK off to watch it again..I cant wait to go to the pictures to see it on the big screen but the pc will suffice for now .. It may be a tad embarrassing at the pictures LOL I don't know if I would be able to not sing aloud, after all I've been singing along tonight, Cam and Aaryn think I'm loopy (they aren't far wrong there lol) thank goodness Gary isn't home, actually, if Gary was home, I wouldn't have been watching it LOL...righto...time for a bit more dancing queen I think....ABBA...how sad am I??? lol

do you think Megan and Luke will allow six or seven one or two ABBA songs at the wedding???? I hope so LOL perhaps I can seduce bribe the DJ???? lol

For my little lady Kennedy all across the way in USA, Her halo has been giving her a bit of grief, she's getting better now, but I wanted to give her a big Tessie hug and kiss and let her know that I am thinking of her every single day!!

an update of sorts

 

Well it's been ages since I've had time to actually sit at the computer for any length of time, but here I am at last!

Where to begin..

oh yes, the Engagement party...it was a roaring success, the album was received with many tears, everyone who attended signed the pages I had made in readiness! So many compliments and many people wanting me to make them albums ( i refused LOL).

Chris and I made absolute idiots thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, a couple of bottles of wine, some music, great food and we were off with the pixies..Dancing and singing,  people were watching us probably jealous of our amazing dancing techniques left over from the 70's  trying to work out what we were doing! We had a great time. I shall share pics when I collect them from my niece who was kind enough to be the paparazzi for the evening because I was to damn lazy and drunk to be bothered taking photo's lol.

Work has calmed down now the toy sale is over..all I can say about that is....THANK GOD!

I had my nails done yesterday. New acrylics. I used to get them done all the time but once again laziness got in the way and I could never be stuffed    life got in the way and I never had the time. I decided I would try Professional Nails, just a few shops away from work..HMMMM...the nails look ok, not the same as when I used to get them done at the salon but that has closed down so I had best get over it   so off I went and now know what it is like to be on a conveyor belt in a production line!!!

let me explain

• 3 rows of tables, with 5 chairs at each with a lady sitting on each chair. I was 2nd from the wall end, this looks interesting! Technicians wearing surgical masks..OH MY!
• along comes a young Chinese  fellow..he sits down and starts to prep my nails..WHAT THE?? ok, so it's equal opportunity obviously that would be because he is MALE not Chinese ok! lol, he files nails with what looks like a tiny grinder similar to one used in metal work..then he glues on nail tips, cuts them down to the length..asks me if  the length is ok..I smile and say, perhaps a bit shorter? he says..NO, I think they ok like that..ok so I will shut-up now.
• He stands up, says  from behind his mask .  your nails are disgusting, I need help here   don't move, someone will be right back...and off he trots..
• A young Chinese lady appears, she's the acrylic brusher, well that's what I like to call her, she brushes on the acrylic, makes my nails look almost real, then says something in what I think was Chinaustralian, I must have looked at her like some sort of stunned mullet, she starts to throw her hands around and making all sorts of gestures..ahh ok..she wants me to go wash my hands and pay before she applies the polish...why didn't she just say that??
• Off I go, wash, pay to yet another Chinese girl..you want clear polish, you want special polish?? ok you go sit now and wait ..So I sit and I wait.
• Along comes the nail polish girl, yet another Chinese lass, she applies the polish, orders me to put my fingers in the polish dryer contraption and leaves..
• Then out of nowhere appears Fellow #1 again, this time he is polish checker..polish is dry, points to door, GOODBYE..

All this in 20 minutes and not one word of welcome spoken, you've heard of battery hens? I believe these are battery technicians, no one spoke to anyone, if you looked around the room, ladies just sat and stared like they were  on some sort of drug LOL the lady next to me, though, coughed and coughed and coughed, they reluctantly gave her a glass of water, I wanted to punch her but instead gave her a soother, which was met with glares from the young man operating on her, I must have broken nail protocol LOL. I did however have a breakthrough with the young man doing my nails, the aforementioned young man, had a blue-tooth in his ear, unbeknown to me, he started to say, Hello, over and over again, while sort of looking at me well he must have been cross-eyed i thought he was looking at me  so i smiled and said Hello back..he got cross and started to say loudly HELLO HELLO..pulled his mask down and said HELLO once more, that was when i realized he had a hands free in his ear..and that he actually was the owner so he was allowed to talk.. The poor boy operating on me, burst out laughing and was promptly reprimanded in Chinese from Mr bossy boots, for laughing..To which the boy replied, don't blame me, blame this stupid woman whose hand's I am mutilating, she's the one who answered you.

I am still trying to work out why they wore surgical masks..do you think it's so we won't recognise our torturer? perhaps that's why they try to confuse you with so many technicians..

and what I found really, really funny was just before I finished work, my last customer was one of the technicians from the production line..I recognised her from her uniform!  she told me in broken English, my nails looked lovely, where did I get them done, I told her, then she said, very beautiful, they look very natural, you very lucky lady! and acted like she had never seen fake nails in her life..

I'm not sure if I'll go back again LOL I might bribe see Monika to do my infills,

At Emily's recent 4th birthday party, I caught Brayden sharing his lollipop (well actually, his sister's lollipop) with Bruno (one of our puppies that now resides at their house!)..

I have been busy

making a holiday album for Luke and Megan for them to remember his proposing (like she'll let him forget LOL).

SO  far I've completed 11 pages with quite a few more to go. I have until next Saturday to finish it, but I'm hoping to have it done way before then as I have a big week at work next week and have to work nearly 38 hours which is going to be a big shock to the system LOL

Condolences

Our deepest condolences to Robyn, Simon and family. Her father has just passed away. Thoughts and prayers are with you Robyn.

11 years ago today!

At precisely 2pm on the 9/7/97 Cameron said the word TRUCK for the first time!! I remember it well, we were in the car, and a large truck went past and he yelled out FRUCK! I also remember the time and date, because, I was on the way for my antenatal appointment at the hospital. Bub was due in 2 weeks and the doctors were concerned because I had very high blood pressure. I went in for my antenatal and never came out LOL..My fat bottom got out of my seat, waddled into the doctors rooms and before you could say..HELL GET ME OUTTA HERE, I was in a wheelchair and whisked away upstairs to maternity, where I was told in no uncertain terms TO NOT get off that bed! I had pre-eclampsia but not to worry, I wasn't going to have a baby that day!

at 11pm the doctor decided that perhaps I should get that baby out, so she thought she'd start with gel and finish the job the next day, so sorry your baby wont be born on a date that sounded good LOL, I just glared at her (as one does) and said..THIS IS MY LAST BABY! if i want it to be born on the 9/7/97 it bloody well will be, by now it was 11.15pm and they were all in stitches laughing at me, I wasn't dilated, I hadn't had a contraction..Call my husband NOW, i demanded, no but's just bloody do it! he arrived at 11.40 followed closely by Sandi who was going to photograph the birth! They were still laughing, I was not dilated at all and I only had 15 minutes to go! I just glared, my waters broke, I had 2 contractions, 3 pushes and at 7 minutes to 12 I gave birth to my last baby!! AARYN!! 9/7/97! DONT ever tell me I cant do anything!

The power of the mind is a wonderful thing and I just don't have the time to be lying around waiting for things to happen!

Actually, I scared all the nursing staff and Gary and Sandi LOL, I'd been having mild contractions all day and never bothered to tell them, I figured if they were too dumb to figure it out, who was I to spoil all their fun LOL..

SO today, my baby turns 11, he was delighted with his yellow PSP and has his friend Djon over for the day (D is moving to Cairns next week so it's sort of birthday/farewell rolled into one), we are watching the chipmunks..rephrase that I am watching the chipmunks, the boys have disappeared again, We've had Macca's and they've informed me they dont want cake yet, maybe later!

I must take some photos, but I cant remember where I've put the camera, I Think it's in the cupboard LOL i had a big clean up!

No puppies...they've all been sold....I had a pocketful of money...it's all been spent..*sigh* such is life LOL...my camera is paid for (just have to wait for it to arrive now) and I bought a present for Miss Chrissy......

camera update~~

I had a phone call from Camera House, there is a new DSLR (Canon1000D) just released, and perhaps I would like to upgrade my 400D to that, before I finish paying the lay-by??? GAWD..how much extra is this going to set me back??? NOT A CENT!! He will upgrade it to the new camera as a curtesy for ZILCH! let me think about it..um, yes LOL, so I'm getting the 1000D woohoooo!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness I didn't pick up the lay-by yesterday as I had planned to!! only drawback is I now have to wait 3 weeks for it to land in the store..but, I'm patient, I can wait!!!...

Well, I think I survived!

It's safe to come out now!!!! She has left the building!!!

what a week indeed, how I've managed to keep a straight face all week with Hyacinth Bucket in the house is beyond me!

Within 3 minutes of being at the house, she hadn't even said hello, she started on about the bloody train station, so after 5 minutes of ranting i took her to the bloody train station, got her daughter on the train then went back for the week of torture visiting!

First mistake I made was  by saying whilst dishing up dinner, Oh i married the wrong man (he likes all green veges, ) That went down like a lead balloon, much laughter from Gary (affectionately known as husband #1 and Staba, husband #2)

Second mistake, sitting on the couch between husband # 1 and husband #2 and saying, Oh this is just like before we were all married, just the 3 of us, all cosy like...

Third mistake, husband #2 helping me do the breakfast dishes whilst just wearing underpants (um i was in my pyjamas, he was in his underpants, just thought I'd clarify that LOL).  She was still going on about it before she left today (it was 2 days ago, get over it) actually, i think the mistake was saying, at least he's wearing his undies this time???

Fourth mistake, Speaking about things that happened long before the 3 of us were married, for goodness sake, don't I know that the past is the past and that we are now grown up and should be 'over' all that!

Fifth mistake...see fourth mistake LOL bad move telling me you don't like something, I kept on saying, OMG do you remember when the 3 of us did this, and do you remember when the 3 of us did that?? she would say where was I? I would smile and say..before your time!

Yes, there are heaps more mistakes, in fact, I am so dumb, I have never been told to my face so many times, that I am...so dumb, so computer illiterate, to bossy, not bossy enough, talk too much, don't talk enough, flirty LMAO @ THAT ONE, cant cook, when I do cook, my food isn't bland! BLAND! don't I know she can't have garlic, any sauces, she must just eat bland food, (boy did I have fun with the bland word after that episode! and fancy complaining that food ISN"T bland!!!!).

She went so far as to say to Gary, how do you manage to stay married to someone so dumb? he replied..It beats being married to someone butt ugly, ahumph totally over the top of her head ROFL.

Ok so I've had a lot bit of fun, winding her up, things go completely over the top of her head, she's so busy thinking about what she's going to say next thinking? I don't think she thinks before she speaks LOL.   she doesn't really listen to what your actually saying, just says a quick hahumph and carries on with  another tangent, SO to everyone's amusement I've been having a ball.

SO MUCH FUN LMAO , the best retort was when she told me she suffered from Irritable bowel syndrome..she went on and on and on about it and I said, that is dreadful,  do you suffer from verbal diarrhoea too? the guys picked up on it, OH yes i do indeed, she replied, it's awful, someday's it goes on for days...

the 3 of us collapsed it took us ages to stop laughing, in the meantime she was getting really angry and yelled at us and told us to grow up and stop acting like children, talking about diarrhoea was not a funny subject but a serious one and we should have more concern for peoples medical conditions..the more she went on about the pooping, the more we just collapsed. I swear it was pouring out of her mouth so fast (must have been one of those days ROFL) I'm surprised she didn't choke on it. It took me about an hour to pull myself together, my ribs still hurt!

I did get a couple of photo's of my 2 guys together BUT unfortunately I wasn't allowed to have my photo taken with them at all, even when I asked if perhaps ok the 4 of us could have a pic taken, she shut me down, it isn't necessary for me to be in a photo with him, why would I want a pic of me and him together? why?? she did however, this morning before she left, email me a photo of her and him together because I like photo's and perhaps i would like to get it printed out and framed to go with all the other photos? UM NO that would have been the pic of the 3 of us together.. actually, I'm really upset that I didn't just insist upon a photo of the 3 of us, i mean, we've been best buddies for 32 years!!!! that's a long bloody time! I should have been stronger, but to be honest, she really does scare me, her tongue is very scathing and she had me on the brink of tears quite a few times, but for my sense of humour to pull me back, it didn't go un-noticed, thankfully, She must be very insecure and so very jealous for her to act the way she does! I do feel a little sorry for her and a lot sorry for him LOL..and I'm thankful that I never let her ruin our time together.

Our kids, idolise him, and it was just so lovely on Wed night to see all 5 of them with him, and it's so funny to hear them call him Uncle Stabba, Luke even called me to one side and asked if he perhaps had a real name or was that it..SO CUTE LOL..

I do hope he comes for a visit again sooner rather than later, but next time, go back to his old habit of taking holidays separately!!! ROFLMAO...

AND YES Tina , I did cry like a baby, when it was time for him to go and for the record..HE DID TOO!!!!! I don't do goodbyes very well, (although when i came inside sobbing, Cameron did ask me, was I crying because I was happy she had left ROFL)
