how embarrassing!

Took the boys for their haircuts today, they got a little spoilt and had a few blonde tips put through (just to entertain the hairdressers i'm sure). They were the source of amusement for Simon and Kylie for sure.

Conversations started first off with age. Simon asked them to guess how old he was.. 38 said Cam, no he's 31 said Aaryn..whisper from mother as mortified Simon looked on 'he's 27'.

Next conversation...

  • Aaryn- "is Simon the best hairdresser in the whole world?"
  • Simon- " I like to think so"
  • Aaryn- " I think you are, I also know what you are"
  • Simon (smiling)- "oh, do you, that's lovely, and what am i?"
  • Aaryn- "Your the G word"
  • Simon- looking puzzled...'The G word??"
  • Mother--cant speak, in fits of laughter
  • Kylie....DITTO
  • Aaryn- "yes, the G word, you know..g..a...y"
  • Simon about to burst a blood vessel from laughing..."OMG how old are you..yes, I am gay, how could you tell?"
  • Aaryn- "I'm nearly 10, and it's very obvious you are, because you have blonde hair!!!!! and you went to that gay party thing didn't you and i saw your brother on last chance learners and he finally got his license, do you have a license?"
  • Simon- (about to wet himself now). "david isn't my brother, he's just another gay hairdresser, yes I have my license and yes i did go to the mardi gras"
  • Aaryn- "yes, i told mum that i thought I saw you there!"
  • MOTHER- OMG when did you go there?
  • Aaryn - "I'm making polite conversation mum, i never really went there, I dont want simon to think that you told us"
  • Mother - I would rather simon knew i told you, (looks at simon), should I be getting worried about now??
  • Simon- OH DAHLING, no, he's just a curious little boy and I take my hat off to you for bringing your boys up non-homophobic (like i have a choice?).. it's amazing how many mothers, tell their children to shut up when they come in here. You have made my day..

next convo after about 10 minutes of silence

  • Aaryn...'Mum'
  • Mum..."what now??'
  • Aaryn..."is Simon a boy and a girl in the same body"
  • Mum (omg simon can hear you).."I dont know, I suppose he might be, please open up ground and swallow me!"
  • Simon.."well, actually, I haven't thought about it before, but i guess I would be the boy, (flaps hands around a bit dramatic), i mean i dont wear dresses"
  • Aaryn.."oh ok" satisfied now, no more discussion about Simon's gender THANK GOD

UNTIL:

Aaryn- "so, hmmm, you kiss boys?"

Mother...ok..that's enough now, Simon is getting embarrassed.

Simon...actually, your mother is getting embarrassed, i think this is hilarious..NEXT QUESTION??

Mother..SHUT UP SIMON...

oh yes, i do love taking the boys to the hairdressers!!!!
